Initially planned to hit retailers on July 23, “The Art of Letting Go” will be postponed indefinitely. The album actually does have it’s lead single available as Carey’s hit song together with Miguel, “#Beautiful,” however she’s still to identify another release date. The 43-year-old artist launched her previous studio album of brand new material, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” during 2009. The record album hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and went Gold.
‘I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know!’
This really is great news for Selena Gomez, whose upcoming Stars Dance would have been made available for release on the very same day as Carey’s album. Having the pop diva out of the way, Gomez presently has an even greater probability of getting a No. 1 chart debut, although she’ll still need to deal with Chris Brown’s X in its 2nd week of sales.
