Mariah Carey , Mariah Carey,  The Art Of Letting Go

Mimi delays! Mariah Carey pushes back new album The Art Of Letting Go while she acknowledges the new set is just not ‘ready’

‘While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23,’ TWITTER

Initially planned to hit retailers on July 23, “The Art of Letting Go” will be postponed indefinitely. The album actually does have it’s lead single available as Carey’s hit song together with Miguel, “#Beautiful,” however she’s still to identify another release date. The 43-year-old artist launched her previous studio album of brand new material, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” during 2009. The record album hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and went Gold.

‘I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know!’

This really is great news for Selena Gomez, whose upcoming Stars Dance would have been made available for release on the very same day as Carey’s album. Having the pop diva out of the way, Gomez presently has an even greater probability of getting a No. 1 chart debut, although she’ll still need to deal with Chris Brown’s X in its 2nd week of sales.

BAD GYAL RIRI BOMBS UK JOURNO!!! (In Instagram Rant…Over Scathing Op Ed)

Daily Mail, Divas!, Pop, R&B, Rihanna, Things That Are Barbadian,

Jones was on the receiving end of RiRi’s ire whilst, Monday (June 24), she penned an editorial rubbish-ing the “Diamonds” singer, calling her “pop’s poisonous princess” and a “toxic role model.”

“I wish she’d stop infecting our High Streets with her gun tattoos, her false nails and fake hair, her bogus bad-ass shenanigans that try to portray her as ‘real’, as ‘street’, as her own person, as strong and single-minded,” –  the writer continued saying of Rihanna while reminding readers that the singer graced the cover of Vogue last fall. Jones (or perhaps her editor) also felt the need to include the following warning in the online post: ”Pictures of Rihanna’s dance moves were too explicit to print in a family newspaper” —

If an artist (Rihanna) deliberately goes out of their way to specifically entitle their album “Unapologetic” then do not imagine for one moment that said artist, by any stretch of the imagination would actually accept a unfavourable article lying down. The UK’s Daily Mail writer Liz Jones seems to be figuring this out the hard way.

RiRi is unapologetic without a doubt: Having taken a page from M.I.A.’s playbook, the outspoken pop superstar reacted to an unfavourable article by taking swipes at the author via social media.

This all started the moment reporter Liz Jones took Rihanna to task in the Daily Mail for being a “toxic role model,” admonishing the multi platinum performer for, in Jones’ opinion, consistently endorsing sex- and drug-laden symbolism, openly carrying on her relationship together with violent boyfriend Chris Brown, and displaying “the sort of fashion sense on stage that surely invites rape at worst.” Wow.

“LOL!!!! My money got a bad habit of pissing people off!! If you sincerely wanna help little girls more than their own parents do, here’s a toxic tip: don’t be amateur with your articles, you sound bitter! What’s all this about hair and nail and costumes and tattoos?? … That s*** ain’t clever!!! That s*** ain’t journalism! That’s a sad sloppy menopausal mess!!! Nobody over here acts like they’re perfect! I don’t pretend that I’m like you, I just live… My live!! And I don’t know why y’all still act so surprised by any of it!!

‘Role Model’ is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own f***ed up s*** to work on, I’ll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it’s ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! And P.S. my first American Vogue cover was in 2011…APRIL!!! #ElizabethAnnJones”
