Right about now it’s really tough to attract any interest from hip-hop lovers, what with all the current Yeezus along with the Magna Carta Holy Grail chatter, nevertheless Drake is doing his very best.

Drake comes with four new tracks unveiled on the web this weekend, introducing a new website which uncovers the launch date for impending album ‘Nothing Was The Same’.


The site simply just reads ‘SEPTEMBER 17’ ‘Nothing Was The Same’ before scrolling down to show Soundcloud hyperlinks and 4 brand new tracks.

During a recent interview by GQ, Drake described his objectives towards new material, that he explained was actually influenced by Marvin Gaye’s 1978 double album, Here My Dear.

“I ain’t gonna lie: I want to be the one you listen to this summer,” he said.

The 3rd record album by the Young Money artist is scheduled to arrive on September 17.

The Canadian rap artist — who might seem to have been attempting to deflect interest originating from a video where he seems to be turned away from the Miami Heat locker room after the team’s victory at the NBA Finals — uploaded 4 tracks on his October’s Very Own blog, including “The Motion,” featuring Sampha, and “Jodeci Freestyle,” featuring J. Cole.
