Jennifer Lopez held back tears while she was being presented with a star along the Hollywood Walk Of Fame yesterday.

“A star on Hollywood boulevard, I said I wasn’t going to cry,”

J-Lo struggled emotionally in order to get her words out as she delivered a heartfelt message to simply accept the honour, speaking about her showbiz ‘journey’.

Jane Fonda, joined her on-stage at the podium who she she co-starred alongside in the film “Monster-in-Law” in 2005.

Screaming crowd of fans, looked on as singer and actress Jennifer Lopez was recognized for her musical achievements on Thursday as she accepted the 2,500th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

 “I really am overwhelmed – it all feels kind of, I don’t know, surreal.”

Lopez, 43, who actually set about her career acting with the 1986 film “My Little Girl” and obtained recognition for her depiction of late singer Selena for the 1997 biopic “Selena,” has established a multi-faceted career becoming an actress, fashion designer, singer, and reality television judge in Fox’s talent show “American Idol.”
